This page is designed to show various trailer designs used for different

applications. I have spent many years honing my trade, if you are unsure

of what you might need in a trailer, I will be glad to share my knowledge

in choosing the right product for you.    Pirate

Standard V hull bunking for most runabouts and cruisers. From

singles to tri axles, this style is common. Generally 2 main adjustable

bunks with addition of optional forward centering bunks.

Bunks cut and shaped for today's fastrac or stepped hull, can vary from cutting

existing bunks to adding on material to standard bunking to make up the

difference in hull heights in step pockets.

Single inboard application where prop and rudder are under hull. Dropped

cross member to provide clearance of v drive components. Required for

ski boats and other inboards such as shamrocks, penn yan etc.

Twin inboard or v drives. Most standard trailers will not work for these style

as they do not provide enough clearance for drive on. By mounting bunks

as shown boat can be loaded safely without fear of damage to trailer

or drive system. Skill still required as in most loading.

Catamaran or Kat. Styles and designs vary from company to company. Singles

to tri axles in galvanized and aluminum as shown above.

Roller models. Generally used mostly in tidal water where levels at the ramp

can vary with different times of the day. Ramp length may not allow at low tide

for a deeper loading. Allows for boat to be winched over roller instead of

drive on. Also used by boaters who load and launch alone. Available in all

sizes up to 18,000 gvw. Number of rollers vary with capacity.
